JB Property Investment After RTS: What Singapore Buyers Are Asking
The most common question is simple: did RTS already get priced in, or is there more upside? Nobody selling you a unit can answer that with certainty — treat "RTS will lift prices further" as a thesis to stress-test, not a guarantee that came with the announcement.
A more useful question is about demand composition: who is actually renting or buying near Bukit Chagar RTS — commuters, students, short-stay visitors — and does that match the unit types you are considering? A 526 sqft Type A and a dual-key 956 sqft Type C serve different tenant profiles.
Ask about supply too. New launches near the RTS corridor add competing rental stock; check how much is completing around the same window as your target handover before assuming yields will hold.
Finally, separate RTS-linked appreciation hope from base-case fundamentals: tenure (freehold vs leasehold), building quality, facilities and management all still drive resale and rental outcomes independent of the RTS narrative.
